Jess Greenleaf is the founder of Greenleaf & Blueberry, a small art supply company that specializes in handmade supplies for the traveling artist, including handmade watercolors made by hand slowly in small and micro batches using muller and slab.  Jess received a BFA in Art History with a concentration in studio art, and lived abroad in Florence and Paris during some of her studies - with her watercolor palette packed along in her backpack.  While backpacking and mountaineering in the Cascades she began studying natural pigments and designing a line of colors that would allow her to paint with a palette completely of the earth.  She is fascinated by the intersections of art, science, observation, and travel and the alchemical magic of their combination on the page of a sketchbook.
