A keeper of field journals since the early 1970s, Sarah Rabkin is the author and illustrator of What I Learned at Bug Camp: Essays on Finding a Home in the World (Juniper Lake Press, 2011). She taught writing and environmental studies at UC Santa Cruz for 30 years, and has also worked as a journalist, oral historian, editor, and high school biology teacher. Sarah leads workshops and retreats centered on writing, journal-keeping, and spirited activism. Her current book-in-progress is The Quiet Activist: How Artists, Dreamers, and Hermits Help Heal the World.
