Penelope Youngfeather
Artist, Teacher
Sisters Oregon
I am an artist, teacher and retired Developmental Vision Therapist. After 40 years in western Oregon, I recently moved to the high desert of Central Oregon near the small arts & mountain town of Sisters. I am still learning the new-to-me desert life. I always have a sketchbook with me, and usually have several going at the same time. For 5 years before moving I taught sketchbook classes including: Art for a Travel Journal; Art for a Garden Journal; Everyday Sketching; and Little Books for Little Gifts. Early this year I initiated the Sisters Sketching Rendezvous but then the Covid-shutdown hit. For a number of years I have deeply appreciated John Muir Laws' generous offerings and his books and include his works in all my bibliography handouts for my students. I look forward to participating in the Wild Wonder Nature Journaling Conference!
